Lifting Equipment Operator Certification
It is our primary goal is to improve the safety of cranes and lifting equipment operations. Our mission is to develop effective performance standards for those who work with and around cranes; to provide fair, valid, and reliable assessments of knowledge and skills.
In line with this, PersCert TÜV written and practical examinations to certify lifting equipment operators, riggers and signalmen in United Arab Emirate. The Certification of Persons complies with the accreditation criteria of ISO/IEC 17024:2012, EIAC-RQ-CB-006 the scheme outline document issued by the Public Health & Safety Department of Dubai Municipality and any specific requirements issued by Dubai or U.A.E. government authorities.
Through this, we continues to provide a thorough, independent assessment of the knowledge and skills required to work safely, enhances usage of lifting equipment safety, reduces workplace risk, improves performance records, and gives due recognition to the professional skills required for Crane Operators, Riggers and Signalmen.
The initial certification period is for one year, after which candidates are required to recertify. Both Written/Oral and Practical Examinations are necessary to meet recertification requirement and to ensure that participants’ knowledge of industry standards, equipment and safety practices are validated.
Eligibility
To be eligible for certification as lifting appliance operators, riggers and signalman, candidates must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have valid occupational health card issued by relevant department.
- Have valid driving license from the relevant authority (where applicable)
- Comply with Lifting Equipment Operator Substance Abuse Policy
- Pass Examinations
- Comply with the Lifting Equipment Operator Code of Ethics
