Introduction
Before being placed on the market, electrical and electronic equipment must be checked to prevent them from creating risk situations deriving from dangers of various kinds. The tests carried out in our laboratories are designed to verify, for example, the safety of the electrical connections, the warnings given in the instruction booklet with the intended use and maintenance rules, protection from direct and indirect contacts, danger of overheating, electric arcs or radiation, dangers of a non-electrical nature (mechanical, movement) and the verification of the insulation which is proportional to the foreseen stresses. TÜV Rheinland Italia's laboratory is recognized in the international IECEE circuit as CBTL (Certification Body Testing Laboratory), accredited by Accredia (see www.accredia.it ) and recognized by the German ZLS authority to carry out valid tests for the TÜV GS mark in addition to the possibility of issuing the TÜV Rheinland marks also for the North American, Arab and other merkets.
