Georgia - Approval of the Technical Regulations on Ceramic Articles Intended to Come into Contact with Food

​Recently, the Georgian government published Ordinance No. 446, 2023 to approve the Technical Regulations on Ceramic articles intended to come ​into contact with food. 

Ceramic articles intended to come into contact with food shall comply with General and Specific requirements stipulated in Articles 4 & 5 in the Ordinance. Ceramic products that are not yet in contact with food, at all stages of marketing, shall be accompanied by a written compliance declaration as prescribed in Article 6.

This Ordinance shall enter force from January 1, 2026.  ​
