TÜV Rheinland Presents Effective Screen Privacy Protection and 30% Blue Light Reduction Certificates to WTL’s AQA Screen Protector
Greater China | 10 January, 2025
Las Vegas, January 7, 2025 - At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), TÜV Rheinland Greater China, the international independent third-party testing, inspection, and certification organization, presented the "Effective Screen Privacy Protection" and "30% Blue Light Reduction" certificates to the WTL’s AQA screen protector.
TÜV Rheinland "Effective Screen Privacy Protection" certification service evaluates the privacy protection and visual effects of screen protection accessories, ensuring screen brightness at the maximum privacy angle while maintaining excellent transmittance and screen readability under different lighting conditions. In addition, the certification strictly controls the privacy angles claimed on the product packaging, helping consumers to shop with confidence.
The "Blue Light Reduction" certification focuses on assessing the reduction ratio of hazardous blue light at 435~440nm wavelength by the screen protector, as well as the shift of Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) and luminance reduction ratio. The certification levels range from 20% to 80%, with each level corresponding to different blue light reduction capabilities and ranges of CCT and brightness deviations, to meet the diverse display performance and eye protection needs of end consumers. Test results show that the AQA screen protector can effectively reduce the hazardous blue light radiant energy in the 435~440nm wavelength, with a reduction ratio of 30%.
At the presentation ceremony, Jay Yang, Vice President of TÜV Rheinland Greater China Electrical, said: “At last year's CES, we issued the 'Anti-Reflection Accessory' certificate to WTL’s AQA screen protector. This year, its newly developed screen protector has received the ‘30% Blue Light Reduction’ and ‘Effective Screen Privacy Protection’ dual certifications, which highlight its corporate philosophy of 'Creating High Quality with Technology.' We look forward to further expanding the depth and breadth of our cooperation in the future, providing consumers with higher-performance, healthier, and more eco-friendly accessory products.”
TÜV Rheinland has extensive experience in the fields of display performance and eye health protection, continually introducing innovative standards and certification services to support corporate technological innovation and product iteration, while helping consumers identify product performance and quality to make optimal purchasing decisions.
