Oman - Energy Labelling And Minimum Energy Performance Requirements
Demonstrate compliance to Oman Energy Efficiency Labelling for your products
The mandatory Oman Energy Efficiency Registration & Labelling (EER) program is supervised and managed by the DGSM (Directorate of Standards and Metrology) under the MOCI-Ministry of Commerce and Industry, which is the authorized government agency responsible for the development of standards.
Energy Efficiency requirements are enforced by the Omani EER scheme. Starting from 8th December 2023, besides air conditioners, additional product groups such as: refrigerators/freezers, washing machines and electrical storage water heaters, are required to fulfill energy efficiency requirements. Manufacturers and importers are to ensure that these regulated products shall comply with the relevant standards and be labelled accordingly.
TUV Rheinland is designated by DGSM as Notified Body to handle technical evaluation and EER registration certification, proving compliance with the Omani EER scheme.
