Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Manage Market Access Services (MAS) projects related to Food Contact Materials (FCM) and other

regulated domains. This includes:

  • Assessing technical dossiers (declaration of compliance, ingredient formulation, migration testing reports) for the evaluation of product compliance based on main FCM regulations from EU, US (FDA), China, South America (Mercosur), Japan, South Korea, etc.;
  • Defining and verifying test plans for different laboratories to support validation of products;
  • Providing technical support to supply chains of electrical kitchen appliances;
  • Monitoring and interpreting worldwide FCM regulations;
  • Supporting business development activities related to FCM services;
  • Arranging meetings and communicating with customers and other business partners, collecting quotations from subcontractors, coordinating project activities between all involved parties, etc.;
  • Ensuring that orders from customers are fulfilled as agreed, accurately, and within scheduled time;
  • Coordinating and managing the development of local operational MAS portfolio to provide one-stop, global market access services for testing and certification of food contact materials and electrical products;
  • Supporting the strengthening of partnerships with regulatory authorities, certification bodies and other stakeholders involved in the market access process;
  • Providing relevant business lines with the latest regulatory requirements and updates; supporting the Global MAS team by providing information related to country approvals;
  • Making contact with country agencies (authorities) and rule makers; evaluating impact of new regulations on existing services and extending information within MAS team;
  • Preparing MAS service presentations;
  • Optimizing customer satisfaction through effective communication and managing the MAS processes in a timely, cost effective, professional and accurate manner;
  • Ensuring that operational excellence is achieved and that continuous improvement activities and methods are consistently applied.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience to work with supply chain;
  • At least 5 years of experience in Food Contact Material (FCM) Safety in packaging industry, raw material industry, food industry, government, trade associations, consulting or TIC (Testing, Inspection Certification) industry;
  • At least 2 years working experience in customer service or project coordination, especially for large-scale projects (preferred);
  • Experience in coordinating projects with overseas clients/ offices (preferred);
  • GMP Auditor experience is a plus.

General Requirements

  • Fluency in spoken and written English;
  • Ability to establish customer offers and work for new customer acquisitions;
  • Knowledge in raw material, packaging, article and manufacturing process, including knowledge of materials (plastic, paper, elastomers, stainless steel, etc.) and suppliers (packaging, articles, food beverages systems, raw materials);
  • Knowledge in main FCM regulations from EU, US (FDA), China, India, South America (Mercosur), Japan, South Korea, etc;
  • Monitoring and interpretation of food contact regulations worldwide: ability to create and maintain expert networks and influence/mitigate regulatory developments;
  • Ability to define and perform FCM technical services on development and assessment of Declaration of Conformity, set up test plan, and perform root cause analysis of testing failures;
  • Experience in working both independently and team-oriented; ability to work in collaborative environment is essential;
  • Good knowledge of ISO quality assurance requirements;
  • Project management skills and teamwork qualities;
  • High analytical, observation and leadership skills;
  • High communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good presentation and time management skills;
  • Keeping reading and understanding all related standards/ regulations/ requirements.
