RBI Auditor/Expert Subcontractor

Purpose

To conduct audits of the RBI management systems of customer companies in order to collect objective evidence of the degree of conformity to the requirements of the agreed audit criteria.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • Engineering Degree or Diploma
  • 4 years’ experience in case of a degree and 6 years’ experience if diploma
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Inspection/Integrity assurance of process equipment
  • At least 1 years’ experience in Management system auditing
  • IRCA ISO 9001 QMS Lead Auditor Course certificate
  • Pressure Equipment Regulation, 2009 and SANS 347, DoL registered training course certificate
  • API 580 or CWA 1574; 24 hour training course certificate

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare personal audit working documents in accordance with instructions from the audit team leader and the internal requirements of TÜV Rheinland
  • During the performance of on-site audits:
    • Collect objective evidence by means of review of documentation, interviews with auditees, observation of auditees as they carry out their duties, and (if applicable) examining the outputs of auditees’ activities; recording this evidence in “Audit Notes”
    • Apply RBI standards to different audit situations
    • Be aware of, and work within the statutory and regulatory requirements governing the customers processes being audited
    • Audit a process from start to finish, including the interrelations with other processes and different functions, where appropriate
    • Verify the relevance and accuracy of collected information
    • Assess conformity within the defined RBI scope and generate appropriate audit findings and conclusions
    • Assist the audit team leader with the classification of audit findings and preparation of reports
    • As necessary, support the audit team leader during meetings with the audit customer
    • Promote a positive professional image, including compliance with the relevant health and safety, and security arrangements from the customer

  • Attend staff meetings, auditor experience exchanges, customer focus days, and training sessions, as required by the Certification Manager
  • Perform monitoring audits as required by the Certification Manager
  • As required from the certification manager from time to time perform technical reviews on audit packs
  • Take responsibility for maintaining his/her appointment as an auditor
