TÜV Rheinland as an Employer

Our philosophy as an employer

As an international service group, we want to create a working environment in which all our employees feel safe and comfortable - an environment in which they are happy to give their best with commitment. The key to this lies in open, respectful cooperation across all countries, cultures and lifestyles. After all, around 20,000 employees at 500 locations around the globe provide more than 2,500 services.

The results of their work can be discovered everywhere: in tested elevators or rides, on certified toys or technical equipment, in our advice or training. No matter where - our international teams have been setting standards in terms of safety, quality and efficiency for many years.

We value diversity - and take responsibility

Our specialists appreciate this versatile portfolio, the exciting tasks and the value of their work for people, the environment and technology. And we value our specialists for their know-how and commitment, but also for their different personalities and careers. Combined with the professionalism and sense of responsibility of each individual, we create a culture characterised by openness, growth and collegiality.

We want to further strengthen this culture and consistently promote respect in our dealings with one another. We don't just say that, we live it. We have committed ourselves to act in accordance with the principles of the UN Global Compact initiative, to fight corruption and to promote human rights, labor standards and environmental protection in our daily work. We are active in numerous networks and projects that stand for diversity and equality. In addition, we have developed a wide range of products and services designed to bring the world of work and life into harmony so that our employees can work in a healthy, motivated and optimal environment.

Charter of Diversity

We stand for a respectful togetherness

The Diversity Charter was launched in December 2006 to promote the recognition, appreciation and inclusion of diversity in the world of work in Germany. Almost 3,000 companies and institutions with a total of 10.4 million employees have now signed the charter.

As a signatory, TÜV Rheinland also supports the goals of this corporate initiative, which is committed to an open-minded, respectful cooperation at the workplace. We are committed to ensuring that diversity is preserved, promoted and valued throughout the company - regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age, sexual orientation and identity.
