Vietnam - [Vietnam Radio Telecom Approval] Circular 05/2019/TT-BTTTT – New List of ICT Products Subjected to Certification and Declaration of Conformity

Recently, MIC Vietnam has officially released Circular 05/2019/TT-BTTTT to replace existing Circular 04/2018/TT-BTTTT - Regulations on List of Products Subjected to MIC Certification and Declaration of Conformity. The new Circular will come into force on September 1, 2019 together with several new National Technical Regulations recently introduced by MIC Vietnam.

Some highlighted features as below:

1. ICT certificates and DOC acceptance letters granted based on the expired standards (QCVN or TCVN) shall be invalid from September 1, 2019 and need to be renewed with new standards.

2. Server, Router, Gateway and Firewall (without wireless connection) have been removed from the scope of ICT approval.

3. HS code and product description have been added for each product category in the scope.

4. The requirements related to DVB-T are exempted from DOC according to QCVN 63:2013/BTTTT.

5. For lithium battery approval, only safety test for pack & cell is required. Transportation test report according to UN 38.3 from the manufacturer or oversea lab is accepted.
