Uruguay - Safety of Low-Voltage Electrical Equipment (Resolution 131/2009) - Draft Update

​The Uruguayan Energy and Water Regulator (URSEA) opened a public consultation to update the current Safety of Low-Voltage Electrical Equipment (Resolution 131/2009) on December 20, 2019.

The Public Consultation No 42 includes the standard UNIT-IEC 60335-2-24:2010 (IEC 60335-2-24 MOD) - Safety of Household Appliances  - Particular Requirements for Refrigerating Appliances to harmonize with the current regulations for safety and energy efficiency requirements for household refrigerators and freezers.

Contributions are acccepted until February 17, 2020, and must be applied by email (consulta.publica@ursea.gub.uy) or in person at URSEA office in Uruguay.
