Uruguay - Draft GMC Resolution No.2/14 Amendment to GMC Resolution No. 40/15 MERCOSUR Technical Regulation on Cellulosic Materials, Packaging and Equipment to be used in Contact with Food
Recently, the Uruguay Ministry of Economy and Finance notified WTO regarding a draft Common Market Group (GMC) Resolution No. 02/24 - Amendment to GMC Resolution No.40/15 MERCOSUR Technical Regulation on cellulosic materials, packaging and equipment to be used in contact with food.
The notified draft Resolution updates GMC Resolution No. 40/15 MERCOSUR Technical Regulation on cellulosic materials, packaging and equipment to be used in contact with food, replacing paragraph 1.2(f) of Part II "Positive list of components for cellulosic materials, packaging and equipment to be used in contact with food" in order to modify the maximum permissible amount of the contaminant diisopropylnaphthalene in finished products containing recycled fibers.
