South Korea - Administrative Notice of Amendment to the National Frequency Allocation Table (Draft)
Korea Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) announces Notice No. 2024-1018 Administrative Notice of Amendment to the National Frequency Allocation Table (Draft).
According to the frequency allocation results of the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-23, November, 2023) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and domestic frequency demand and complementing other operational deficiencies in the regulations.
Main Contents:
- Amendments to the Radio Regulations (RR) decided at the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-23)
- Newly supplied frequencies for mobile communications, maritime safety and communications, satellite utilization, and scientific purposes, and the technical conditions for preventing radio interference
- Changes in the frequency usage conditions of each country in the international frequency allocation table
New domestic frequency requirements:
- Allocation of frequencies necessary for the introduction of next-generation airport mobile communications (AeroMACS) and domestic low-orbit satellite communication services
Complement other operational deficiencies:
- Update terms according to revised Radio Regulations (RR) and correct some inconsistencies between the Radio Regulations (RR) and the national frequency allocation table of Korea
