Saudi Arabia - Draft Amended Standard on Lead-acid Starter Batteries Part 1: General Requirements and Methods of Test

​Recently, Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) notified WTO regarding a draft amendment of the SASO IEC 60095-1 standard. This is concerning 12V Lead-acid starter batteries intended to be used in road vehicles.

The major national modification included in this amendment of the standard are the following clauses:​
- 6 Charging modes and functions
- 9.7 Water consumption test
- Table 6 –Summary of requirements​
