Oman - Proposed Adoption of EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU for Telecom and Medical Devices

​On July 13, 2021, Oman Ministry of Commerce & Industry notified to WTO on a new Ministerial decree .

This Ministerial decree obligating the European directive 2011/65/EU and its amendment in 2015 and 2017 for telecommunications equipment and medical devices only as a first stage. The Ministerial Decree state that certain hazardous substances in telecommunications equipment and medical devices shall comply with limits set in the mentioned European directive.

Proposed adoption time: December 2021

Proposed time of entry into force: June 2022
