Israel - SI 62133 Part 2 - Secondary Cells and Batteries Containing Alkaline or Other Non-Acid Electrolytes (Lithium Systems)

The requirements of the existing standard, SI 62133 part 2 (Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolytes - Safety requirements for portable sealed secondary cells, and for batteries made from them, for use in portable applications: Lithium systems), dealing with lithium systems of secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline, shall be declared mandatory.
This declaration is in line with the mandatory standardization objective to protect human safety.

This standard adopts the International Standard IEC 62133-2 - Edition 1.0: 2017-02 without any national deviations and will enter into force 6 months after the publication in Israel Official Gazette.
