India - Food Safety and Standards (Packaging) Second Amendment Regulations, 2022

​​The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has recently revised the Food Safety and Standards (Packaging) Regulations, 2018 to the Food Safety and Standards (Packaging) Second Amendment Regulations, 2022. It was published in the Official Gazette on August 30, 2022 and came into force that day.

The specific migration limit for two substances - Antimony and Phthalic acid, bis (2-ethylhexyl) ester (DEHP), were added to plastic materials intended to come in contact with foodstuffs.​
