India - Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirement of Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021.

According to the latest notification from Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, the existing order Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirement of Compulsory Registration) Order, 2012 will be changed/migrated to Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirement of Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021. 

- The order shall come to force after 6 months.
- Existing registration under Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirement of Compulsory Registration) Order, 2012 shall continue until renewal.
- Overall testing and registration procedure remains same.
- Manufacturers already under old registration, who have applied for new location for same registered model number, will be given a period of 6 months to migrate into new order.
- Product labeling at customs will be effective as per new order after 9 months (3 months after order coming to force).
- Products that are meant for export are exempted and also HSE (Highly Specialized Equipment) are exempted (categories are mentioned in the order).
