Hong Kong - Proposed Product Certification Scheme for Electric Mobility Devices

​Hong Kong Transport Department proposed Certification scheme for electric mobility device (EMD). Under the proposed regulatory framework on EMDs, only compliant EMDs with product certification labels affixed could be permitted for using on designated cycle tracks in Hong Kong. 

Manufacturing parties or wholesalers of EMDs need to obtain certification labels from accredited Product Certification Bodies and affix the labels on their EMDs before selling for use in Hong Kong.
