Europe - ECHA adds 5 new Substances to the Candidate List (247 SVHC)

​The Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) now contains 247 entries for chemicals that may cause harm to people or the environment.
Companies are responsible for managing the risks of these chemicals and informing customers and consumers about their safe use.

Spotlight on New Substances:
•    6-[(C10-C13)-alkyl-(branched, unsaturated)-2,5-dioxopyrrolidin-1-yl]hexanoic acid - Lubricants, grease, release products and metal working fluids
•    O,O,O-triphenyl phosphorothioate - Lubricants and greases, hydraulic fluids and metal working fluids
•    Octamethyltrisiloxane - Coatings and inks, thinners, paint removers, fillers, putties, plasters, modelling clay, ink and toners, formulation into mixture, washing and cleaning products, polishes and wax blends
•    Perfluamine - Heat transfer fluids ( Manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products, electrical equipment)
•    Reaction mass of: triphenylthiophosphate and tertiary butylated phenyl derivatives - Metal working fluids, hydraulic fluids and lubricants and greases
