EU - Six New SVHC Intentions

​There are six new SVHC intentions all submitted by Norway:

- Hexamethyldisiloxane - Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic (PBT) - using in cosmetics and personal care products, washing and cleaning products, coating products, polishes & waxes and inks & toners.
- Dodecamethylpentasiloxane - very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative (vPvB) - using in cosmetics and personal care products, washing and cleaning products.
- Decamethyltetrasiloxane - very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative (vPvB) - using in cosmetics and personal care products, washing and cleaning products.
- 1,1,1,3,5,5,5-heptamethyltrisiloxane - very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative (vPvB) - using as a reductive catalyst in organic synthesis.
- 1,1,1,3,5,5,5-heptamethyl-3-[(trimethylsilyl)oxy]trisiloxan - very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative (vPvB) - using in cosmetics and personal care products and perfumes and fragrances.
- Octamethyltrisiloxane - very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative (vPvB) - using in cosmetics and personal care products, washing and cleaning products.​

Expected dates of dossier submission: August 2, 2024 & February 3, 2025
