EU - Didecyldimethyl Ammonium Chloride DDAC is now an Approved Biocide

​Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1062/2014 establishes a list of existing active substances to be evaluted for their possible approval for use in biocidal products. Didecyldimethyl ammonium chloride (DDAC) is one of the existing substances in the list which has been evaluated for use in the following biocidal products:

- Product-type 3, veterinary hygiene biocidal products
- Product-type 4, food and feed area disinfectants

After the evaluation and assessment, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) concluded that it is appropriate to approve DDAC as an active substance for use in the above product-types subject to compliance with certain specifications and conditions.
