ECHA Proposal for a restriction on formaldehyde released from articles

​The proposal is to restrict the placing on the market or the use of all articles releasing formaldehyde at concentrations greater than or equal to 0.124 mg/m³ in the air of a test chamber used under the conditions prescribed in EN 717-1.

(Articles subject to the CMRs in textiles restriction as well as the use of formaldehyde and formaldehyde releasers as biocide are exempted from the proposed restriction.)
