China - National Standard of the P.R.C., Road Vehicles – Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
The State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Administration of the P.R.C.) has published a standard National Standard of the P.R.C., Road Vehicles – Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
This standard stipulates the content, composition, marking requirements and marking change requirements of the vehicle identification number. This standard applies to vehicles and their noncomplete vehicles, trailers, motorcycles and mopeds. Other vehicles that need to be marked with VIN can refer to this standard.
Proposed date of entry into force: January 1, 2020
