Chile - Draft Protocol for Safety Analysis and/or Testing of Electrical Products PE Nº8/11:2023

​This draft protocol establishes the safety certification procedure for the following audio and video electronic product: Television defined as any equipment designed for the main function of showing TV transmissions (audio and video) and that has a built-in tuner. Products whose dimensions are less than or equal to 165.1 cm (65") in diagonal length are considered.

Exception:
- Products that operate at a voltage of up to 12V DC and that do not have a voltage adapter to connect them to the alternate power supply network.
- Products that operate at a voltage of up to 12V DC, that have rechargeable batteries and a voltage adapter (AC to DC) to connect them to the power network.
- PC monitors with a tuner, but whose main function is to display images from the PC.
