Brazil - Draft Update on Household Air Conditioners Energy Efficiency Requirements

The Inmetro (National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology) published the Decree 01 on February 5, 2020, with a draft update on the conformity assessment requirements for household air conditioners. It includes the Cooling Seasonal Performance Factor (CSPF) according to ISO 16358-1 standard and other changes such as the Energ Efficiency Label.

The draft decree is open for public comments for 60 days after its publication. Contributions are accepted by filling a specific form available at http://www.inmetro.gov.br/legislacao/
