Brazil - Anatel Resolution 715/2019 - Updated Conformity Assessment and Approval Regulations for Telecommunications Products
The Anatel (Brazilian National Telecommunication Agency) published the Resolution 715/2019 on October, 25 with an updated Conformity Assessment and Approval Regulations for Telecommunications Products. It will cancel and replace the current Resolutions 242/2000 and 323/2002 in 180 calendar days after its publication.
Main changes in the updated Resolution:
- The Anatel homologation fee will be terminated, only certification fees will be applicable.
- Market Surveillance Program is implemented where the Certification Bodies will select samples for testing based on specific procedure to be issued by Anatel
- New voluntary program: Labeling (to be implemented)
- The Anatel homologation identification must be available when the product enters in the Brazilian border
- The product certification can be per product type or product family instead of product categories
