Brazil - Anatel Approves Simplification and Modernization of Telecommunications Standards

​The Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (Anatel) approved the Regulatory Simplification Project on April 3, which introduces a major reform in the telecommunications sector. 

Consolidation of regulatory acts into a single framework, such as the approval of the General Telecommunications Services Regulation (RGST) and the Regulatory Experimental Environment Regulation.

Updating the Temporary Use of Radio Frequencies Regulation and making adjustments to internal norms.

Revoking outdated regulations, updating definitions, and refining rules for both public-interest and restricted-interest services.

Introducing a unified glossary to enhance the accessibility and clarity of the regulations.
