Eureka Vacuum Robot Receives TÜV Rheinland "Effective Cleaning of Edges and Corners” and ETSI EN 303 645 Certification

On September 6, at the IFA Berlin, TÜV Rheinland Group issued the "Effective Cleaning of Edges and Corners" certificates to the Eureka’s robotic vacuum cleaners (models: V15Pro, J15 Pro Ultra, MV15ULTRA, MV15ULTRAAPBK, MV15ULTRAAPWH) under Midea. Meanwhile, the J15 Pro Ultra robotic vacuum cleaner also received the ETSI EN 303 645 certificate for IoT product network security and privacy protection from TÜV Rheinland.

Dr. Scott Sun, CTO of Midea and Eureka Cleaning, Marc Zaplin, Vice President of TÜV Rheinland Europe Electrical, and Brian Lin, Vice General Manager of Field Sales of TÜV Rheinland Greater China Electrical attended the event.

Corners and edges of walls and furniture are prone to accumulating dirt and are difficult to clean, which has always been a pain point in indoor cleaning. Currently, the motors and brushes of smart cleaning appliances on the market are mainly based on rotational drive, making it even more challenging to clean corner areas. TÜV Rheinland, based on its self-developed standard 2 PfG Q2876/08.23, tested and evaluated the edge and corner cleaning capabilities of the aforementioned Eureka models, such as the distance to the wall, coverage rate against the wall, coverage rate of internal/external corners, and coverage rate of table/chair legs, and the results showed that they met the TÜV Rheinland "High-Efficiency Corner Cleaning" certification requirements.

At the same time, TÜV Rheinland conducted an overall assessment of the J15 Pro Ultra robotic vacuum cleaner according to the network security regulations and privacy protection requirements of the ETSI EN 303 645 standard, using means such as design assessment review and security-related verification. The results showed that it met the requirements in terms of data protection, software updates, password management, and secure communication.
