As the pioneering international certification body since 1991, TÜV Rheinland Philippines has been the country’s leading provider in system certification, third party audit and certification, and in-house and public training which aligns with current international standards.
The company expanded their business operations in 2006 with the inclusion of its Electrical Product Safety Testing laboratory. In the same year, it gained an ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation from government regulatory bodies such as Department if Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Philippine Accreditation Bureau (PAB), This widely recognized accreditation acknowledges the competence of the lab to generate valid results which are globally accepted and allowed the facility to test various household appliances and audio-video equipment from global brands.
In 2007, additional recognition was received from the Bureau of Philippine Standards (BPS) for Electrical Product Safety Testing.
TÜV Rheinland Philippines hit another milestone in 2013 as it received approval from DTI and BPS to conduct a PS Mark Certification audit. This permitted the company to perform conformity and surveillance audits for local and foreign applicant-companies and licensees which ensures their adherence to the PS Quality and/or Safety Certification Mark Scheme.
Adding services to its portfolio, the company formed Academy and Life Care Services in 2014, a new line of business which focuses on people safety within the work place.
Four years after its launch, the Personnel Certification (PersCert TÜV) service was introduced. This latest addition allows TÜV Rheinland Philippines to issue professional certificates as an independent and competent body that attests to the proven skills of individuals who have met specific qualifications.
More recently, on October 2022, TÜV Rheinland Philippines joined the TÜV Rheinland Global Group in celebrating its 150th Year Anniversary of making technology safe for people and the environment. A strong testament of our innovation in becoming the world’s top testing service provider.
