2003	In 2003 The TÜV Rheinland Group became active on the Dutch Market by a joint venture of LuxControl/Intertraffic. Luxcontrol Nederland B.V. is a Notified Body for Rail Interoperability designated by the Dutch Ministry of Transport. Both companies are a member of TÜV Rheinland Group.
2006	In July 2006 TÜV Rheinland B.V. was founded by the TÜV Rheinland Group in Cologne, Germany. The Netherlands was the 58th country in which TÜV Rheinland established offices. Over the years several joint ventures and take overs are a fact. TÜV Rheinland is located in Apeldoorn, Enschede, Niekerk, Utrecht and Helmond.
2008	Acquisition of TNO Electronics Products & Services (EPS) B.V. (Niekerk)TÜV Rheinland EPS B.V. TÜV Rheinland EPS (Electronic Products and Services) B.V. is an independent laboratory which is specialized in testing and certification of electrical and electronic products and telecommunications products. It is so far the only laboratory in the Netherlands that has been duly accredited to measure the effect of electric radiation on human beings.
2008	TNO Deelnemingen B.V. and TÜV Rheinland Kraftfahrt GmbH formed a joint business venture called TTAI. TTAI’s priority area is the testing of vehicles and vehicle components for compliance with passive safety requirements. The services of the independent provider can be retained by carmakers and the car component industry on a global scale.Based in Helmond in the Netherlands, TTAI runs Europe’s state of the art crash test facility for vehicles. This facility is part of the Dutch Technology Centre for Mobility, the so-called ”High Tech Automotive Campus“. TTAI is one of the few international service providers which can offer all types of crash tests regardless of the weather conditions, for passenger cars, buses and trucks.
2009	TNO Quality B.V. (including TNO Certification en TNO Quality Services) was taken over by TÜV Rheinland in January 2009. The testing and certification services of the company have been offered for more than 15 years on the Dutch market. TÜV Rheinland Quality B.V. was founded in March 2008. The staff are experts in particular areas of work, for instance in testing, measurements, assessments and certifications as regards buildings, industrial facilities, and management systems. In addition to that, they provide product testing, for example checks on textiles, clothing, carpets and floor coverings. TÜV Rheinland Quality B.V. maintains her own glas laboratory and the service range here includes the analysis and energy efficiency improvement of glass furnaces.
2010	TÜV Rheinland Nederland B.V.: a merger between TÜV Rheinland B.V. and TÜV Rheinland Quality B.V. With a new name comes also new ambition. Those from TÜV Rheinland Nederland are clear. We want to offer our customers more quality and our professional employees more professional.
2011	TÜV Rheinland acquires the highly specialised service provider Sonovation B.V. in the Netherlands. Founded in 1988, the company has a staff of 50 and provides services in the area of non-destructive testing (NDT), particularly for companies in the oil and gas industry. This includes ultrasonic analyses, corrosion inspections and measuring methods for the determination of wall thicknesses for pipe systems or pressurised containers, for example.
2012	TÜV Rheinland EPS B.V. continues as TÜV Rheinland Nederland B.V.
2013	TÜV Rheinland sells its interest in TTAI to TASS Automotive B.V.
2016	The headoffice of TÜV Rheinland Nederland is moved to Arnhem.
