Demonstrate compliance with the KCs mark regulation for machinery and protective equipment with TÜV Rheinland
The Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) unified safety certification systems under the Occupational Safety and Health Act in Korea. Only products that have been tested by an internationally accredited testing center, certified and labelled with the Korea Certification (KCs) mark may enter the Korean market. The KCs mark demonstrates that industrial equipment and machinery are safe and consistent quality in manufacturing process is ensured. Industrial machinery, protective devices and personal protective equipment are mandated to apply either of two different approaches to certification: ‘Certification of compliance (CoC)’ or a ‘Declaration of conformity (DoC)’. TÜV Rheinland may conduct testing and inspections of your products subject to a ‘Declaration of conformity (DoC)’. Safety certificate
- Hazardous machinery: Crane, pressure vessels, lifts, presses, shearing / press brake, rollers, injection molding machines, mobile elevated work platforms, gondola lifts, and sawing machines, among others.
- Protective devices: Protective system of press and shear, overload preventer for crane, safety valve for boiler pressure release, safety valve for pressure release of pressure container, rupture disc for pressure release of pressure container, protective device for insulation and device for live-wire work, among others.
- Personal protective equipment: Safety helmet for prevention from falling material and electric shock risks, safety shoes, safety gloves, dustproof mask, gas mask, goggles, face shields for welding, ear plugs/covers, among others.
Declaration of Conformity
- Hazardous machinery: Grinders, industrial robots, mixers, crushers, food processing machine (cutters, mixers, noodles making machines), conveyors, automobile lifts, machine tools (lathes, drills, milling machines), among others.
- Protective devices: Circuit breaker for acetylene welding system or gas gathering welding equipment, automatic voltage reducing device for AC arc welding machine, emergency stop device for roller, grinding machine cover, among others.
- Personal protective equipment: Safety helmet, safety goggles, face shield (excluding those products, which are subject for obligatory safety certification), among others.
