Morocco - Energy Efficiency Label
Ensure mandatory Moroccan Energy Efficiency Label for your products
In Morocco, Energy Efficiency Law No. 47-09 of 2011 outlines obligations for producers or importers of appliances and equipment running on electricity, natural gas, liquid and gas petroleum products, on carbon or other renewable energies, offered for sale on the national territory.
Those obligations are detailed by Decree No. 2.20.716, 2021, which stipulates minimum Energy Performance levels of electric appliances / equipment and their mandatory energy labeling. Furthermore, the products must be accompanied by a data sheet that explains the energy label and its levels according to Moroccan standards. Technical documents and energy performance / labelling data must be kept for a period of ten years from the date of production/import of the product.
