The Energy Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) mandates that certain designated products shall comply with Minimum Energy Performance Standard (MEPS) according to the relevant testing standards. Based on Electricity Regulation 1994 (Amendments 2013) Regulation 101A (3), all manufacturers and importers of these designated products must affix the Energy Efficiency Label onto the products before it can be sold to the customer.
