Gulf Technical Regulation on Children Toys ("G-mark")
Our global solution for compliance with the Gulf standards and requirements of the GCC countries
Manufacturers and importers of children toys exported to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries (United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait) as well as Yemen need to comply with the Gulf Technical Regulation on Children Toys (BD-131704-01) since January 1st, 2014. Products in scope of the regulation require certification by a GSO Notified Body. Various products are excluded from the regulation, e.g. playground equipment, toy steam engines, fireworks, electrical transformers for toys or puzzles with more than 500 pieces. Manufacturers must mark their products with the Gulf Conformity Marking (G-mark) and GCTS (Gulf Conformity Tracking Symbol). TUV Rheinland was one of the first international organization to be registered by GSO for this regulation and other GSO technical regulations. With our global network of laboratories and inspection offices we can provide tests and measurements for physical, flammability, chemical safety, hygiene etc. as well as the mandatory Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) to comply not only with the regional G-mark but also the national schemes of the Gulf countries. We offer the complete Market Access solution to the Middle East, always close to you. Ask how our efficient certification process can help you sell your products in all GCC member countries !
