The program aims to reduce energy bills by driving the sale of energy efficient appliances, improve the energy performance of products that have an impact on energy consumption and reduce appliance and equipment related greenhouse gas emissions through mandatory requirements.There are mandatory labels such as the energy rating label and voluntary, as well as endorsement labels such as Energy Star. Manufacturers, importers and responsible suppliers can register their products for equipment energy efficiency (E3) labels on the program website.
