Colombia - RETIE, RETIQ and RETILAP Approvals
Entry into the Colombian market with accredited type approval certification
ITICCo (formerly TÜV Rheinland Colombia) is recognized as a National Accreditation Body authorized by the Colombian National Accreditation Body (ONAC) to issue certificates according to RETIE, RETILAP and RETIQ regulations established by the Colombian Ministry of Mines and Energy (MINMINAS). The Colombian Technical Regulations for Electrical Installations (RETIE), Lighting and Street Lighting Equipment (RETILAP) and Energy Efficiency Labeling of End-Use Electrical and Fuel Gas Equipment (RETIQ) list several components and products requiring prerequisite approval before being sold in the local market. RETIE, RETILAP and RETIQ Approvals can be achieved in accordance with four optional certification schemes (based on ISO/IEC 17067 standard):
• Scheme Type 1a: Type testing (valid for the tested product only).
• Scheme Type 1b: Type testing (product sample from a production batch)
• Scheme Type 4: Type testing (product sample), factory inspection and surveillance (periodical testing and factory inspection)
• Scheme Type 5: Type testing (product sample), management system audit (production process) and surveillance (periodical testing and audit) ITICCo (formerly TÜV Rheinland Colombia) will support with the determination of the certification scheme most suitable for your product. Please note that although ITICCo is no longer part of TUV Rheinland, we maintain close cooperations and collaborations to meet our customers’ needs.
