Bahrain - Energy Labelling And Minimum Energy Performance Requirements
Successful export of Air Conditioners to Bahrain with our services
According to Bahrain’s ministerial decree No. 70/2015 (in force since 20 February 2016), specific Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps have to comply with minimum energy performance standard and energy labelling requirements. Normative references applied are GSO ISO 5151 and GSO ISO 13253, detailing performance testing and rating. TÜV Rheinland has been designated by Bahrain Testing and Metrology Directorate (BTMD) as a Notified Body for Energy Efficiency testing and registration of Air Conditioners, thus being able to provide technical approval and registration services to manufacturers and importers. Moreover, an efficient integrated process may combine multiple approvals with the Bahrain Energy Efficiency Registrations, such as G-mark, Oman Energy Label etc.
