Pre-Import Inspection, Testing and Certification Program of Goods into the Republic of Iraq (ICIGI)

The ICIGI Program is an important regulatory framework for goods imported into Iraq. It ensures that imported products meet the necessary quality and safety standards before they enter the Iraqi market.

TÜV Rheinland is appointed by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control (COSQC) as a notified body for the ICIGI program (Pre-Inspection, testing and certification Program) for Goods entering the Republic of Iraq.

As an authorized certification body, TÜV Rheinland will carry out the conformity assessment procedures for all regulated products with applicable Iraqi standards and technical regulations.

Our main objective is to prevent non-compliant products and guarantee adherence to the Iraqi regulations, safeguard consumer interests and strengthen market trust, manage risks by assuring safety and quality, avoid hazardous products, reduce waste, and so protect the environment, streamline customs clearance processes with an efficient practice for the issuance of the Certificate of Conformity (COC), and encourage equitable trade practices and support its facilitation.
