Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety Engineer for Vendor/Integrator Team for PTC
NJ Transit is providing for a new generation of PTC enforcement systems as mandated by the Rail Safety Improvement Act of 2008. The scope of this project includes support in the development and execution of a Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) program as well as support services to NJ Transit in their PTC deployment.
RSC is contracted to provide support to NJ Transit for their FRA Part 236I compliant safety program, processes, and safety document submissions. This includes the development of the mandated PTCDP and PTCSP, the development and management of the RAMS Plan, development and integration of system hazard analyses, risk assessment, hazard log development and management, safety evaluation of the interoperability of the I-ETMS and ASES II systems, as well as reliability, availability, and maintainability assessments, demonstrations , and reports.
Specific project elements include: project management, development of reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety submittals, liasing with FRA regrading 236I interpretations, and PTC certification support.
