Description of project:
The Mexicable is a massive cableway system that benefits the population of the San Andrés de la Cañada region, this project was architecturally designed and assembled by a 100% Mexican company, it was inaugurated in 2016. The stations are positioned at along 4.9km. The system has 7 stations.
The Mexicable is a GREEN transport that works with electric power. It has two engines capable of generating more than one thousand horsepower each. The installation has a maximum capacity of 3,000 hour-direction users that are transported in an agile, comfortable and safe way in its 185 cabins, achieving a journey in approximately 19 min.
Safety for passengers is priority. The transport system has more than 2 thousand sensors whose main purpose is to guarantee its correct operation. The cableway is one of the most secure transport systems in the word.
TÜV Rheinland carried out the verification services of certificates and guarantee statements of the components of the infrastructure, as well as of the subsystems and safety components, not to mention the comparison plan of structural, mechanical and electrical parts and the evaluation of an adequate execution and correct installation.
TÜV Rheinland performed the verification of compliance with the conformity evaluation with the operation of the Cable Car or its modified components. Verification of a plausibility sample of the interfaces between the subsystems and the infrastructure, as well as between the subsystems for the relevant compliance according to the provisions of the CE Conformity Evaluation (interface documents) and on the obvious errors in the area of application.
