Description of project:

The Toluca-Valle de México Interurban Passenger Train is a project of the Federal Government that connects the Toluca Valley Metropolitan Area with the west of Mexico City.

This fast and convenient train will transport 230,000 passengers a day. It will have a total length of 57.7 kilometers and six stations: two terminals and four intermediate ones.

TÜV Rheinland performed the supervision, control and certification of an independent safety assessment (ISA), installation and commissioning of rolling stock, rail systems, and communications systems, ticketing, control center, electromechanical systems of the tunnel and the viaduct, via, energy systems, and construction of two 25Kv traction substations, and on-line technical buildings of the Mexico-Toluca interurban train.
