TÜV Rheinland is TOP Employer Germany 2024
Top Employers Institute is the worlds´s leading certifier of outstanding employee conditions. TÜV Rheinland first received the Top Employer award in 2008.
TÜV Rheinland particularly excelled in the "Unite" category, which focuses on the meaningfulness of work, corporate values, diversity, inclusion and sustainability.
We stand for a respectful togetherness
The Diversity Charter was launched in December 2006 to promote the recognition, appreciation and inclusion of diversity in the world of work in Germany. Almost 3,000 companies and institutions with a total of 10.4 million employees have now signed the charter.
As a signatory, TÜV Rheinland also supports the goals of this corporate initiative, which is committed to an open-minded, respectful cooperation at the workplace. We are committed to ensuring that diversity is preserved, promoted and valued throughout the company - regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age, sexual orientation and identity.
Shaping globalisation socially and ecologically
We believe companies bear a responsibility for their sphere of influence. To ensure this understanding leads to effective action, it is important that players can exchange experiences and ideas on all levels. In 2006, we therefore signed the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, a voluntary United Nations initiative for businesses. This decisive strategic step sealed our advocacy of global compliance with human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and the fight against corruption.
To ensure the entire company adheres to this commitment, we incorporated the principles of the UN Global Compact in our own mission statement in 2007 and also made them the foundation of our Company Policy on Values and Responsibility. Furthermore, the values and principles of the UN Global Compact clearly define how we deal with business partners. Before establishing business relationships with TÜV Rheinland, suppliers must agree to comply with our compliance guidelines, laws, human rights and the UN Global Compact principles.
We also take an active role in international projects - for example, on environmental protection, compliance training, United Nations Global Compact principles, and even in discussions on the responsibility businesses bear in conflict zones. In doing so, we aim to strengthen our position as a reliable and valuable partner and make a significant contribution to the fulfilment and spread of ethical business practices and sustainable development.
We believe UN Global Compact principles must play a greater role in day-to-day business. We have therefore adopted an active role in the German Global Compact Network (DGCN), committed to the ideas laid down in the UN Global Compact.
