Weathering Test for Measuring Product Performance
In today’s consumer driven world, proving the weathering resistance of plastics and coatings is becoming increasingly important. The weathering test outcome reveals crucial information on the longevity of the products and materials by replicating various climatic conditions as per the individual requirements or end application. TÜV Rheinland India’s outdoor/UV weathering condition simulation systems cover a wide range of real radiation intensities in accelerated mode combined with diverse climatic conditions.
TÜV Rheinland performs weathering testing on automotive materials and components as per SAE J2412, SAE J2527, ASTM D7869, ASTM D 4355, ASTM G154, ASTM G155, ISO 4892-2, and ISO 4892-3.
We Conduct Assessments For:
- Test surfaces of 150mm x 75mm (plaques, panels) and other 3D samples of bigger size
- Solar Spectral Range between 280 nm - 1200nm
- UV Fluorescent – UVB – 313nm and UVA -340nm
- Irradiance of 0.35 W/m2~110 W/m2
- Humidity of 10% to 100% RH
- BPT of 50degC to 110degC
- Evaluation Criteria – Change in colour & gloss, hardness, Tensile, flexural & Impact strength
