RSCI Audit by TÜV Rheinland

RSCI assessment for transparent supply chains in the automotive industry

RSCI stands for Responsible Supply Chain Initiative. The initiative consists of a group of companies and associa¬tions within the automotive sector. RSCI supports mem¬bers, suppliers and stakeholders in the automotive sector and related industries to strive for a more responsible supply chain. To this end, the RSCI provides tools, measu¬res and general support to its members to fulfil this goal. The Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) has been selec¬ted as Implementation Partner.

The RSCI Program is a standardized assessment and exchange mechanism for verifying the social compliance performance along the automotive supply chain and for mutual recognition of results.

It has been developed based on the needs of the auto¬motive industry with a user friendly approach to small and medium-sized companies that strive for increased sustainability in their supply chain.

RSCI Assessment:

  • The RSCI Assessment is an integral part of exercising due diligence throughout the automotive supply chain. The voluntary assessment standard was developed with stakeholders from the automotive industry
  • It evaluates the conformity of an assessed location to the RSCI Assessment Requirements with regards to social compliance as well as occupational safety and environmental protection
  • In addition, it offers transparent and comparable assessment results that can be shared by the auditee on an online platform with the ultimate goal of mutual recognition thereby avoiding multiple assessments by different customers of the auditee
  • The RSCI Assessment Label confirms that, based on the RSCI Assessment Requirements and Protocol, no indications of fundamental or critical non-conformities were found

Scope:

  • A RSCI Assessment can be requested by all legal entities striving to be assessed against the RSCI Assessment Standard through the management system
