Job duties & responsibilities:

  • Validate the project scope and sample applicability.
  • Conduct thorough construction review, documents results.
  • Perform testing of products in accordance with standards. Core tests include, but are not limited to: rating, leakage current, dielectric, stability, mechanical hazard, flammability, abnormal, fault condition, ingress protection.
  • Prepares test reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and test results.
  • Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
  • Follow sample handing procedure.
  • Desire to work in a team environment.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
  • Follow-up with customer for project documentation.

Single assignments: Beside the above listed job duties special assignments have to be carried out based on the instructions of the direct superior. Those special assignments are usually connected to above listed activities or those assignments are a result of company policy.

Authority: The incumbent is authorized to take any reasonable action necessary to carry out the assigned responsibilities, provided that such action is consistent with sound company and cost-effective practices and is consistent with position guidelines as outlined above.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering

Key Requirements

Work experience: Having minimum 5-6 years of work experience in Household & similar electrical appliances safety testing and certification.

Skills: Excellent organization and time management skills.

Language: English, Hindi

Competencies:

  • Good skills of project handling
  • Good understanding of household & similar electrical appliances safety testing standards e.g. IEC/EN 60335-1, IS 302-1, IEC/EN 60335-2-3, IEC/EN 60335-2-4, IEC/EN 60335-2-7, IEC/EN 60335-2-24, IEC/EN 60335-2-40, IEC/EN 60335-2-80, IEC/EN 60335-2-89 IEC 60529 etc.
  • Good understanding of performance testing standards e.g. IS 17550, IS 7872 & IEC 62552 etc.
  • Good experience in handing of CB, G-Mark, CE Mark, BIS-CRS projects.
  • Sound knowledge and active participation in lab accreditation activities IEC/ISO 17025:2017, LRS, CB Scheme and ILC/PT programme.
  • Good knowledge to operate the HV tester, Leakage tester, flammability equipment, DMM, CRO, programmable chamber, power supplies, data logger etc.
