Rules of compliance
Unless otherwise specified in the order confirmation or no statement of confirmity is required, the decision rule specified in this page is applicable to all confirmed orders in the same date or the date after of this revison.

For non-numerical results:
TUV Rheinland testing laboratories apply the Zero Guard band rule unless otherwise required by the standard or requested by the customer. The Guard band rule applied in the decision making (decision rule) is conveyed to the customer during the application review regardless of if it is when measurement uncertainty is required or not.

For the Zero Guard band rule, the measurement uncertainty is not considered and will also not be declared in the Test Report.

Statement of conformity are reported as:

  • Pass – the measured value is below the acceptance limit
